While we can make cutting boards in any size you wish or choice of woods, the following is a sample of our standard sizes. No two boards are the same, it is suggested you select a size and we will email images of the wood combinations we have in stock. These woods are not stained, as with everything we do they are the natural color of the wood.
These are our trivit boards and measure 7" X 8", they are ideal to use on your table to sit a pot on, cut garlic etc. This size is generally $20.00.
These are our Med sized boards and measure 8 X 12, they start at $30.00, we also have boards with handles cut out, images will be coming soon
This is our 10 X 15 1/2" Board which starts at $50.00
Below you will see an MS Word file for care of your board which you can download.
Cutting Board Care
All of the cutting boards you see are made from different woods, both domestic and exotic. All of the boards are made from solid wood, and are displayed in their natural color (no stains or veneers). Our boards have a MINERAL OIL finish (most grocery stores and drug stores carry this product). You should apply mineral oil to your board every few weeks to keep the wood from drying out completely (do not use olive oil, vegetable oil, or canola oil because these finishes will hold bacteria). The cutting boards ARE NOT dishwasher safe (the steam and heat combined will melt the glue and the wood will begin to separate). Also, do not leave your board cutting board submerged in water; wipe it down after you have cleaned it with soapy water.
For maintenance, we suggest light soap and water scrub after each use, and occasional white vinegar rub down. We suggest once a month or so, apply a light coat of Mineral Oil, and the board will look brand new. What kind of maintenance does a mineral oil board require? Monthly, and possibly more frequently if used heavily. A light sanding will remove any scratch or cut marks.
